About Us

Fashion Hot is a UK fashion site about getting dressed, not about the runway.

Most fashion writing is aimed at people with unlimited budgets and somewhere glamorous to be. This one isn’t. It’s for people who have a wardrobe full of clothes, a normal budget, a British climate to dress for, and about four minutes to decide what to wear before leaving the house.

What we write about

Practical things, mostly. How to build a wardrobe that works across a week rather than a single occasion. What is worth spending money on and what genuinely isn’t. How to care for clothes so they last more than one season. Which high street brands hold up and which ones don’t.

We cover trends when they’re actually useful to know about, and skip them when they aren’t. A runway look that nobody will wear on a Tuesday in Manchester doesn’t need a thousand words.

How we write it

Every article is written to answer one question properly, and to be finished with. No padding to hit a word count, no ten-item listicles where three items would do. If a piece can be honest and say “it depends”, it says so.

We don’t accept payment for positive coverage, and we don’t pretend a garment is better than it is. When we recommend something, it’s because it does the job at that price — not because it’s expensive or new.

The free planner

The Capsule Wardrobe Planner came out of the same idea. It’s a twenty-four page printable workbook that takes you through auditing what you own, working out what’s genuinely missing, and logging what you actually wear. It’s free, it prints at A4 and US Letter, and there’s no account to create.

It exists because the advice “build a capsule wardrobe” is easy to give and difficult to follow. The planner is the part that makes it followable.

Who’s behind it

Fashion Hot has been publishing since [YEAR]. It’s written and edited by [NAME], with occasional contributions from writers who pitch us through our Write for Us page.

It’s a small operation rather than a magazine, which is the reason the advice is specific instead of general. Nobody here has to fill a print edition every month.

Get in touch

Questions about an article, a correction, a partnership, or a pitch — all of it goes to the same place. Email [email protected] or use the contact page. We read everything and reply to most of it.

If you’ve found something on the site that’s wrong or out of date, we’d rather know. Corrections get made quickly and we don’t mind being told.
